Hannah Montana is a great party theme choice because not only is she the hottest pre-teen star on TV for girls, but she's also all about MUSIC.  These two elements combine for perfect party atmosphere.  Focus on the musical element and it will provide great party inspiration and entertainment.   Keep in mind that you are likely working with Pre-teens for this party, so create a fun, cool party, but keep the atmosphere relaxed, like a cool hang out, but with fun stuff to do.  For this age, you have to entertain your guests as if they were still kids, but in a way that doesn't make them FEEL like they are kids.  You can't leave them to their own devices like teenagers because they need a little guidance to keep their party mojo going.  Turn to your daughter for inspiration and insight.  She'll tell you when she thinks something is "lame" or when it's "Rockin'."

• The colors you find throughout the show and fan sites are bright purples, hot pink lime green and aquas - popular colors today for girls in general.  Fill your room with color, imagery of Hannah, and musical symbols and base your activities on music and your theme will tie together.  Select refreshments that would be fit for a star to pamper your guests and autograph books with pictures of each other an notes and autographs as a party favor and you have an easy, memorable party focusing on your pre-teen's idol.
• You can mix this theme with Rockstar Karaoke for a music party with a familiar face!

You can go pre-printed with invitations highlighting Hannah Montana or you can get a little creative.  Consider making guitar or musical note invitations, or even sending a CD with your daughter's favorite mix and party details.  Have a Rockin' Birthday Party!!!   

There are two elements to draw inspiration from in your décor with this theme, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus herself, and the music she makes.  But this theme doesn't fit well with "transffering" your guests to another place - rather, it's about creating a fun, party atmosphere.  Fill your room with balloons, streamers, ribbons, confetti, etc.  Then add posters of Hannah Montana, a Disco Ball for sparkle, White Crhistmas Lights for twinkle and fun images of musical notes, instruments, microphones and stars!  Hang some CDs from fishing wire to catch light and add to the musical element for interest.

• Your colors with this theme will be Miley's favorite colors - purple, hot pink, lime green and aqua.

Make the table the center of your party! Create the table setting with everything Hannah- (the easiest way is to purchase Hannah Montana party supplies and centerpieces.)

• Karaoke

  Although a Karaoke machine seems like an extravagant addition to a birthday party, it can double as a birthday gift. Don't forget to purchase some Karaoke CD's as well.

• Superstar makeover

  Have fun with make-up, scarves, hats, jewelry etc. For younger girls, you may want to invite a fun teenager or mom to help with the makeover. Take pictures with a digital camera that you can print during the party.

• Hannah look-a-like contest (have all of your guests come dressed as Hannah. Have prizes for all the girls.
• Body Glitter - this is a great party favor for the girls to take home. You can purchase or the girls can mix their own.

  You'll Need:
  cup aloe vera gel
  fine polyester glitter (any color, available at most craft stores)
  One small cosmetic travel container with a screw top, for each girl.

  To Make:
  Fill the containers 1/4 full with aloe gel. 
  Pour a small amount of glitter in the container. Provide wood craft sticks or plastic coffee stir straws to the girls for mixing. Add more gel until the mix is complete. Close the lid. You can use mailing labels or any sticky label for the lid. Decorate the label with the glitter.
